Reflection - Nov. 6 - Test #3 - Sec. 14
Discuss your thoughts on taking Test #3. Were you prepared for it? If so, what strategies did you use as part of your preparation? If you were not prepared for it, what will you do next time to ensure that you do well on the test? In addition, discuss your thoughts of today's activities.

My thoughts on Taking Test #3 was that it was a breeze. I'm getting used to all these essays now and the class in general. I was prepared for Test #3 this time. The strategy I used as part of my preparation was managing my time. In between classes I would read and re-read my essay. I would also make corrections to common errors. I would do this until I felt it was good enough to be read to an audience. Today's activites were good and to the point.
ReplyDeleteI also think that Test #3 was a breeze! It was fairly simple to write and I did not have much difficulty writing it.

DeleteTest #3 - Expository Essay was easy. I did a lot of research and reading then I put together my essay. I started out listing the facts that I learned through researching and then put it in the order that I will write in my essay. Today was an good day for a test day. We did some brain stretchers and we all shared our essays.

DeleteTest #3 was pretty easy. I wouldn't say i was fully prepared for the essay because I did it last minute. I used a cluster map to show my ideas and from there, the essay was pretty easy. I did the essay pretty late, because my job took up most of my free time. Overall, I think i did alright on the essay. Today, we shared our essays to the class. My topic was about music.

DeleteTest #3 was pretty easy. I wasn’t sure if I had to input a reference, so I just put one just in case. I was definitely prepared for this essay. I did my essay ahead of time and was able to think thoroughly about what to write about. What got me to be prepared for my essay was the fact that the semester is ending soon.

DeleteFor Test #3, I chose a topic that was more personal to me. I chose the topic pertaining to the admiration of a particular person. I was able to use some of the strategies that I learned such as cause and effect. I was more prepared than the other two tests because I was able to give more thought in this essay. Today's brain stretcher is different because we are to type it online on our blog. In conclusion, today's activity was very calming and informative.

DeleteWhen I was doing my research, I was able to learn more about teen suicide. It was alarming for me to see the rates and the stats on teen suicide.
DeleteTest #3 is an expository essay where you have to research the facts and the evidence for you topic. In my opinion, this essay was pretty easy due to the fact that the topic I chose was “Why teens commit suicide”. I already had an idea of what to talk about and what were the common reasons for teen suicide. I was prepared for test #3 because I started a week before it was due which gave me time to research and write. I also went on the internet to look up on statistics on teen suicide which were well explained and accurate.

DeleteI really liked doing Test #3! I found that though a lot of preparation had to be put into it, the results of what I found could help me in the future. I used a lot research techniques in order to prepare to write my paper like using the internet and other online databases. Other than that, I enjoyed today so far because I finally finished my essay, and I can finally relax for a while.

DeleteI though this test (Expository essay) was pretty easy. I had to make my friend Mark proof read my essay outside of class because there was no class on Tuesday. The topic I chose was about getting a driver's license. It was easy to write about because I had experienced getting a driver's license.

DeleteTest #3 was relatively easy, because I did my essay ahead of time and I felt very comfortable afterwards. I slept well, and I had time to do my other assignments. With the aids that our professor referred us to, this test was a breeze in my opinion.

DeleteTest #3 was fun. It was hard for me to find a topic that I could relate to or knew something about. I did my essay pretty late but it was very fun and enjoyable to write. It took me awhile because I had to find someone to peer review mine.

DeleteI was prepared on test #3. I used brainstorming and outlining for my strategies. The third essay was a little bit easier for me because it was about "Why Students Skip School." The activity today was about presenting our topic. It was great to know different topic with my classmates.

DeleteBy this essay I felt I was prepared unlike the previous ones. I found the essay enjoyable to write. Writing the essay really made me think about and appreciate having my drivers license. For my next essay I feel I will be prepared to turn it in on time confidently.

DeleteFor test #3, I was prepared to write for my topic that I have chosen because part of it I have done before in my past, but now that has all changed. I would not say it is a strategy, but I have been seeing it happen many times when young teens end up joining gangs. So I know how it goes and just jotted down things that happen that make those teens turn to the bad side. I myself joined a gang just because some of my family members were in it and I got into a lot of trouble. Well I left that behind and matured. Anyways, test #3 was easy for me because I could relate to those young teens joining gangs at a young age.
ReplyDeleteThis test I took my time in doing it. I tried to do the test ahead of time so that I would have more time to improve upon my essay and make corrections. Turns out I didn’t have enough time and I rushed this test. I even only had my peer editing a day before it was due. I think next test I will try to have more time to do it. Plan out what time I am I able to do my homework and essay.

DeleteToday we needed to present our Test #3 Essays in class and what we learned from it. We also have this new option where we can put our brain stretcher online or do it face to face in class. Today was pretty fun because I was able to share and talk about a very important topic. My topic was about the environments that surround and affect children.
