  1. I think that we should avoid run on sentences for many reasons. If a sentence is not ended appropriately, the intended meaning can be changed or misunderstood. The meaning can be incomprehensible.

My thoughts on today’s class activities was that this was my first class day throughout the week. It was relaxing, but now it’s time to get back on track.

  3. Avoiding run-on sentences helps us to become more understandable and concise when we speak or write. Using run-on sentences can get people into bad habits of trying to explain or narrate something to fast in the interest of mere time. However, being clear and concise is much more important when trying to get your point across, especially in writing. Other than that, all I did today was catch up on school work.

  5. Run-on sentences makes the sentences seem to long and make the sentence incorrect. We should avoid it because basically because that is the proper way to write and it makes the sentence easier to understand because if the sentence is a run-on it, it will make the sentence seem packed and confusing. I am about to do moodle.

  7. We should avoid run-on sentences, so our writing is understandable. Run on sentence is not allowed to use on University. We should not use run on in our writing, because it is not appropriate. We should avoid run on, so our reader will understand our writing. Speaking and writing is different when using run-on. It is very important to use a punctuation in a sentence, so we cannot confuse our reader. Another activity is about classification.

  8. Run-on sentences are to be avoided at all cause. We believe that adding the appropriate punctuation would help the sentence, however there is another way in fixing the sentence. As much as we want to make the reader understand what you're writing about, it is highly important to have the appropriate sentence structures. I admit to making run-on sentences because I thought that the longer the sentence was, the better it'll look on my essay. However, that is highly incorrect. It's better to have several sentences explaining your topic rather than one completely long sentence.

  9. Run-on sentences are sentences that are joined together without proper punctuation. We should avoid making run-on sentences in our essays. It is inappropriate for the reader. You try to explain everything in one sentence but that is wrong. You should try to explain it in multiple sentences or with the correct punctuation. Today, I learned about run-on sentences.

Also, it is not the proper way to write. It will be marked incorrect by your instructors. Today, we learned about classification.   12. We should avoid run-on sentences because it could be very confusing to the reader. It could be unnecessarily long, which could lead to a misleading meaning. Although we often speak in run-on sentences, we should learn to avoid it while writing. I brushed up my memory while thinking of a definition and example for classification. Also, the Writing Process Worksheet activity was interesting, since I basically do my stages just like Boris.

  13. Run on sentences includes two sentences that are combined incorrectly. Avoiding run on sentences helps the readers from being confused. To avoid run on sentences, we can insert a period and start a new sentence, insert a comma plus a coordinate conjunction and or use a semicolon.

  14. We should avoid run-on sentences because it causes confusion in many ways. If the sentence is too long, the audience's mind may trail. If you don't punctuate it correctly, the meaning can change and the reader will be confused. Run-on sentences are easily written because of the way we speak, but it can be corrected through peer editing or proof reading.

    Today, we did our moodle session. It was on classification and on the Writing Process Worksheet which was completed by Boris Belinksy. I almost did not do it due to some circumstances, but I managed.

  18. Just like what the link says, we usually speak using run-on sentences. On paper, the reader does not know if we change the tone in our head. Run-on sentences might complicate the essay and confuse the reader. As for myself, I think that run-on sentences are confusing. Sometimes, I have to put both ideas into one sentence for it to flow better.

  20. Run-on sentences are alright and easy to understand when spoken, but writing a run-on sentence is much different. When written, run-on sentences cause confusion and need to be broken down so the reader can understand. The activities were very informative. I can see myself using the information learned to help my writing.
