If I were to pick a topic sentence to explore on my Christmas break, it would be, "I want to spend my entire Christmas break in Hawaii." I really want to see my friends in Hawaii during the Christmas break, and do things I can't do here on Guam. Other than that, I worked on my moodle assignments.
ReplyDeleteHawaii does sound like a very nice place to go to. Hopefully you'll be able to visit your friends sometime soon:)
DeleteChristmas in Hawaii sounds totally rad! It is always nice to spend Christmas with friends and family.
DeleteHawaii sounds nice
DeleteYes, Hawaii is perfect especially with friends. I would love to visit Hawaii during the holidays.
DeleteHawaii seems like a great place to spend Christmas with your friends.
DeleteHawaii's a great place, and I also wish that I could spend my Christmas break there too.
DeleteHawaii sounds pretty cool. Lilo and Stitch.
DeleteI think that sounds like a good topic sentence.
DeleteHawaii seems like a great place for your Christmas break! I heard it's just like a bigger and better Guam and you'll be spending it with your friends!
DeleteThe topic that I would choose is to spend my entire Christmas in the Philippines. I want to spend my entire Christmas in the Philippines, because it is fun to spend Christmas with my family, friends, and relatives. Celebrating Christmas in Guam is boring. There are many things to do in the Philippines for Christmas that Guam do not have. That Is why most people called "It is more fun in the Philippines."
ReplyDeleteI've spent Christmas in the Philippines before, and it really is a lot of fun there. But Christmas in Guam can be fun too, though. There are things in the Philippines that Guam does not have, but Guam is a gorgeous island. I hope your Christmas is more enjoyable this year:)
DeleteI too would like to spend Christmas at the Philippines! I would constantly see pictures of how much fun my relatives are having during Christmas.
DeleteThat sounds really fun! I've never been to the Philippines so I think Christmas there while be especially interesting.
DeletePhilippines does have more things to do but it's the people you spend it with that counts.
DeleteChristmas in the Philippines sounds very exciting! Spending time with your family and loved ones is definitely what this holiday is all about.
DeletePhilippines is a great vacation place when you have lots of relatives there. I experienced years ago and it was fun.
DeleteI agree with "It is more fun in the Philippines". There are so many things to do there with your friends and family.
DeleteI have spent Christmas break in the Philippines as a kid, and I still remember it to this day. It would be awesome if I could spend my Christmas break there again. Filipinos have an amazing Christmas spirit!
DeletePhilippines is very crazy and fun! Kind of dangerous during December but worth the fun.
DeletePhilippines does it better!
DeleteMy topic would be 'Where did all my money go?' I really love the holidays, especially Christmas, but my pockets are always empty right after. It's lots of fun picking out Christmas presents for others, sometimes we don't realize how much money we spend. Hopefully, you guys wont suffer as much as I would and have a lovely Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThat's a creative and hilarious topic choice! Since I have a job, I'm finally able to shop for my family and friends!
DeleteHahahaha! I really love your topic sentence! I can relate to it so it makes me really interested.
DeleteI like your topic. A lot of people will relate to it.
DeleteI can relate to your pockets being empty after all the Christmas shopping. Hahaha!
DeleteThat would be a very interesting topic to write about! I can totally relate to you. Presents for the ones you love can be really pricey!
DeleteYou're right! Money always disappears after Christmas, but it gives that nice feeling after giving people presents.
DeleteThat is a good topic. I as well have no money after Christmas.
DeleteMoney disappears after Christmas, but some manage to come right back! Good karma always comes!
DeleteI agree, I get really broke after Christmas but it is fun to give to people.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteIt is good to give even though we have to spend a lot of money. Good point indeed.
DeleteHaha I hate this part of the holidays! I'd rather spend the money on myself. :)
DeleteMy topic statement pertaining to my Christmas break would be "It is beginning to look a lot like bankruptcy." It'll be the first Christmas in which I am able to buy presents for my friends and family. Although presents shouldn't matter as much as spending the day with your loved ones, it's still a nice thought. I can already tell that this Christmas will make my wallet, and probably other people's wallets, cry. Unfortunately, I have yet to finish my Christmas shopping.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! Your topic sentence is really funny, but at the same time true!
DeleteYour topic is so true. I know a lot of people can relate to this, but in the bright side those gifts will put a smile on their faces.
DeleteI'm sure that many people can relate to your topic! That will be very interesting to write about!
DeleteGreat choice, it definitely explains christmas. Wish I had a job though so I could buy people presents.
DeleteOh gosh, story of my life! I can definitely relate to your topic:)
DeleteDon't worry, I think presents would make up some of the money you lose! Also, making other people happy and spending time with your family during Christmas is all that counts!
DeleteHahaha, your topic sentence destroyed me. I can literally relate to your topic.
DeleteI love your topic sentence. I can totally relate. It's something I think the process is a hassle, but the end result always makes me happy. I'm sure you'll feel great in the end.
DeleteMy topic sentence would be "The joy of Christmas" because we get to spend it with all our loved ones. We share the laughter, memories and joy amongst each other over a wonderful dinner. It is not all about the presents, but the people who you spend Christmas with. And that is what Christmas is all about.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree that spending Christmas with loved ones is what the holiday is all about! That would be a great topic to cover!
DeleteThat is a great topic for a holiday like Christmas. I agree that there are many laughs and memories being shared with your loved ones.
DeleteSpending Christmas with the family is a joyous moment every year.
DeleteI agree, I like your topic about joy of Christmas.
DeleteIt's definitely a great feeling to spend Christmas with your love ones! I am quite excited to spend Christmas with everyone since this year has been hectic.
DeleteThis is the best part of the holidays, spending it with your loved ones! Making and remembering memories is truly the best part of Christmas!
DeleteThe topic sentence that I would want to choose would be "A Snowy Christmas". I have always loved the idea of actually having snowy weather during the winter holidays. I have experienced many of my Christmas holidays in Northern California. I truly think that snow can make someone's Christmas a lot more enjoyable!
ReplyDeleteI would love to actually spend Christmas in actual winter. It sounds really nice however instead of Northern California, I would probably go to Washington.
DeleteI always wanted snow on Christmas. I am very jealous of you.
DeleteI always wanted to see and touch real snow. I am also jealous.
DeleteAs for my topic sentence, I would choose "a memorable Christmas in New York." I would love to visit the place during the holidays with the people who mean a lot to me. It seems very expensive but worth it at the same time. It would be wonderful to experience all the beautiful decorations with different bright lights.
ReplyDeleteNice topic! New York sounds beautiful for this time of year. I agree, it will cost quit an amount, but the memories are priceless.
DeleteThe topic sentence I would choose would be "Spending Christmas with The Family." I would love to hang out with my family on Christmas Day and enjoy each other's company. It would be a great to catch up on things. Other than posting on this blog site, I did my moodle assignments.
ReplyDeleteI agree that spending Christmas with the family is a great thing. Everyone is so busy throughout the year, and Christmas is perfect for catching up.
DeleteYour topic sentence is very important. Good choice!
DeleteFamily should always come first during Christmas. Good topic
DeleteMy topic sentence would be "Winter no-break". A friend of mine always begged me to help him fix his project car, but I had no time to help fix it because of school. Now that I would be a couple of weeks out of school, I could finally help him fix his car. It will be a little Christmas gift from me to him. I just hope he doesn't wreck it like the last one!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice that you help your friend with his car. I hope that he would keep in mind the hard work you put into and drives carefully.
DeleteThat's good that you're going to help your friend. At least your gift doesn't require you to spend money, just time.
DeleteI think that is a very creative and funny topic sentence.
DeleteMy winter/Christmas is going to be similar to yours because both of us are not going to take a break.
DeleteIf I were to pick a topic sentence to explore on my Christmas break, it would be, "Christmas is the time to give." I would choose this topic sentence because this year I would like to give each member in my household a gift. I want to remind them of how much I appreciate each on of them and the sacrifices they make. Besides my family, I would also like to help people outside of my family. I would like to help the less fortunate. I went to Notre Dame so I'm used to going out into the community and giving back. An example would be when I went to Catholic Social Services. We got to do different tasks. My day overall was good. I just went to Math class and listened too a presentation. The rest of the day, I slept.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Christmas is a gift giving. People give gift to their loved ones.
DeleteThat is very relatable topic sentence.
DeleteMy topic sentence would be "When the Family Bond Grows". On Christmas, the whole family, and some friends who do not have family on Guam, gathers at my Uncle's house. The men eat, drink, laugh, and talk about politics or personal issues. The women and children are inside with the gifts. After all the gifts are opened, the kids play with their new toys and brag to each, the teenagers complain about school, and the women are gossiping. Afterwards, everyone gathers for a family picture, including our family-friends. As the night goes on, everyone becomes closer to each other, problems have their solutions, and it feels like we have been seeing everyone everyday. It has always been the day when all troubles are tossed out the window and everyone has fun.
ReplyDeleteToday we did our last moodle session. It kind of makes me sad that the semester is ending already.
Your topic is good, it shows the true meaning of Christmas. Being with your family is always fun.
DeleteMy topic sentence would be "Christmas with the family in the Philippines". Guam is fun too but I would have to say Philippines has more things to do like fireworks, cheap food and all them good fun things. If Guam has them then I would have to choose Guam.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like an interesting topic! The Philippines sure does sound like fun. Guam can get pretty boring. I would love to travel.
DeleteI agree, celebrating Christmas in the Philippines is more fun than Guam.
DeleteI think that is a very good topic sentence. Not just because I am Filipino.
DeleteI heard Philippines go hard during the Christmas time frame.
DeleteMy topic sentence would be, "Spend less but give more this Christmas." The best way to show this is to just give and show as much love as you possibly can to everyone you know. Love is not cheap but it is free.
ReplyDeleteThat is a really good topic sentence because those words mean a lot.
DeleteYour topic is really good. Showing love to your love ones is always the best gift.
DeleteMy topic sentence would be "Christmas at School". I am going to take winter intersession for my EN110 class. I am looking forward to doing school work during break even though I should have fun instead but it will be productive. I love productivity so this break is going to be good.
ReplyDeleteThat is a interesting topic. Being productive is good.
DeleteYou go Manwai! You are really productive.
DeleteMy topic would be "Why Does Christmas Fell Different?". i would choose this topic because over the years Christmas seems to get less and less festive. Not many houses put up lights. even my family seems to be slowing down on the Christmas spirit.
ReplyDeleteThat is so true. I passed by houses that usually go all out, but they didn't this year.
DeleteMy topic sentence would be " Where did all that weight come from." During Christmas break would be the time that I eat a lot of food. All the would be so delicious that I wouldn't be able to stop eating. I love food so it looks like I am going to be eating a lot.
ReplyDeleteMy topic sentence would be "Why am I buying them gifts?" Every Christmas I spend most of my money buying gifts for friends I just met or don't spend much time with. I'd rather spend it on my family to show them my gratitude for at least once in the year. But I know they're buying me gifts and I just want to return the gratitude.
ReplyDeleteThank for your very good article! i always enjoy & read the post you are sharing!
