This is the first test of the semester. It was a really good experience because you learn from your own researches. I used listing for my topic since I had a general idea of what I am talking about. Next time, I write about a topic that is new to me so taht I can learn something different. Today, was an easy day for class since I have already done my essay.

DeleteThe first test of the semester was very intense. It made me sweat the night before while I was laying on bed. I did not sleep for this because I was nervous like crazy. I was scared that it was not good enough but my friends told me it was cherry. Since I turned in my test, I feel like a happy kid who just got his kid's meal. Today, was a very easy day since I have finished my essay.

DeleteToday we had our very first test of the semester. Although I made a few errors, I'm aware that I shall not make those same errors in the second essay. I decided to free write my thoughts pertaining my topic which really helped. From having a very general idea, I was able to expand it even further. I was able to hear everyone's topics and their explanations with it. I wasn't surprised that someone had the same topic as I did. In conclusion, my test was given and I hope to obtain a passing grade!

DeleteTest #1 was pretty interesting. This was the first time I ever used all of the writing stages. I usually just write my essay, edit it myself, and then turn it in. I would like to believe that I was prepared for this test. One thing is for sure, I won’t go home right away on my Wednesday and Friday classes. I will either be in a cubby or in a conference room to work on my essays. Today’s activity was okay. All we really did was present our essays. I think that this is the shortest class we have so far.
ReplyDeleteThis was also my first tie to ever use writing stages. To be honest, I did not really know much about how to write a descriptive essay. Thankfully, I have friends who helped me to understand it more.

DeleteMy thoughts on taking Test 1 is relief. Relief because it's over... for now. I feel like I was prepared for Test 1. The strategies I used was making sure everything was complete and organized. I did procrastinate, so next time I will be sure not to. My thoughts of today's activity was that it was easy as long as you completed the assignment. DeleteToday was our first test of the semester and it was a pretty stressful test since I didnt have much time to focus on my test because of late night shifts. Although it was stressful, I managed to get by it and finish up the Descriptive essay. It took long nights, but at least I got it done in time to turn it in. My topic I chose was pretty easy to right because I can actually relate to it. I am glad that I finished presenting because I can take out a huge load of stress off my chest and actually breathe.

DeleteThis essay was one of the first essays i have done in a while. I think it was kind of like getting back on a bike. I made some errors on this essay but I'll be sure to not make those same mistakes again. This essay was challenging. I'm glad I didn't do the in class test.

DeleteTest #1 was something different from a regular English class test. There was no vocabulary test or a novel reflection. The test was solely based upon doing an essay on a topic that you enjoy using an essay type we learned from class. Overall I enjoyed the experienced and learned a few things that I can improve upon in the future when taking the midterms, finals, or even the other tests.

I wasn't sure if my paper was good enough, but Arwin helped me out and told me it was good. I need to stop procrastinating though, because I was struggling a bit. Weight's been lifted off my shoulders, and I can go home knowing I completed and turned in my work on time.

DeleteToday we had our first test in our EN100-14 class. Everyone, except for one student because he decided to take the in-class test, presented and turned in their take home tests. Me and everyone else needed to go up in front of the class and present their topic, thesis, and lesson they have learned from writing their essay.

DeleteI was prepared for the test till I decided to procrastinate on retyping my essay the night before. I feel that the stages made it much easier for me to write about my topic. I'm glad I have chosen to write about anger because it has helped me understand the subject more. I learned ways to cope with anger better and how to calm a person who is furious. Overall, I think I will be more prepared for the next essays.

ReplyDeleteThe first essay was pretty straight forward. My topic was "getting my license and car". I used a bubble map to show all my ideas. From there on, writing the essay was pretty easy. Today, everyone shared their top and thesis statement. I enjoyed listening to them.

DeleteI felt that test#1 was really an eye opener for me. In my mind I felt as if I had so much time to complete the essay. I procrastinated a bit and it forced me to work much harder with a small amount of time. The next essay I will start as soon as possible. I will also be more comfortable writing this essay now that I have some experience. I really enjoyed today’s activities. We got hear many interesting topics that other students wrote about.
ReplyDeleteToday we had our first test which was a descriptive essay. We had to turn it in with the three stages in order for it to be complete. Our class also had to present our topic, thesis, and what we learned from writing our essay. After all the presentations, we had to post our essay on moodle and post a blog entry. Overall, the class went by quickly and I was glad that we didn’t read out our whole essay to the class.

ReplyDeleteThis first time was very challenging, I should have practiced more and did the take-home test. I found out today that i'm not very good at writing under pressure. I tried to use the strategies to write my essay but I was still having trouble. I should also spend more time to try and pick a better topic next time.
